This chess set includes nearly indestructible weighted and balanced plastic pieces, colored ''low luster'' cream and black. The board is green and buff with algebraic notation on all four sides and is constructed of a durable fabric-backed vinyl which resists wrinkles and stains. A storage tube is included for the vinyl chess board and pieces. The container is a durable pressed and cardboard tube with plastic caps. The chess set fits nicely into the tube. This chess set is the recommended standard for scholastic chess tournaments in the United States.
